Colorado Spring Market Update for December 2020
You know what? Homes are still selling quickly in Colorado Springs and if you are thinking of selling, you might be surprised to find that even though it it winter, homes are still getting offers the day they are listed and for above the asking price. If there was more inventory available, I am certain we would have had more homes sold last month. If you would like to determine what your house could sell for, give me a call! Keeping your home protected during winter
If you find you are leaving your home for a few days, you may want to consider some options to help keep your home running smoothly. Coming home to a surprise flood in your home happens, and here are some tips you might want to consider to help minimize damage and the costly repairs.
Get a space heater for your basement, even if your basement is finished, and place next to any area with exposed pipes. Set the heater thermostat to 50 degrees to help keep the room warm enough to avoid pipes from bursting.
If you are going to be gone for a month or more, consider winterizing your home. You can call a plumber or a handyman to clear your pipes and put in anti-freeze. I would definitely do this myself and highly recommend everyone else to consider this as well. A little upfront for maintenance can definitely save a lot of headache, stress, time and money later.
Interest rates are still at an all time low
Now is the time to buy a property. Home owners pay much less in owning a home than they do renting. As homeowner, the investment is yours. As a renter, you are paying for someone else’s investment plus management and other extra fees. Even if it is just a starter home, get your foot in the door and stop throwing your money away.
